FamilyMart, India’s first SuperCentre, is all poised to open in Bangalore on Diwali.

Shopping will never be the same again. Valdel Retail Private Limited, a group company of Valdel Group, is all set to launch its first project ‘FamilyMart’ a value-shopping destination SuperCentre – to make shopping with family a unique and wholesome experience.

Scheduled to be launched during the festive season, FamilyMart offers one-stop shopping, a food and entertainment for the entire family. Spreak across four acres of land, with a retailing area of about 1,00,000 sq.ft., the stores has a spacious ground and first floor. It will consist of a department store called ‘entra’, a supermarket called ‘Dailys’, a foodcourt and an entertainment centre for kids. Other faciliteis like bookstore, music store, bakery, photostudio and beauty salon are also part of the total offerings at FamilyMart. “Abundant parking space for about 350 cars and 400 two wheelers, several cash counters and wide aisle spaces are some of the details we have been specific about,” said Shantharam, Managing Director, Valdel Group. Shantharam is the grandson of the Late M.S.Ramaiah, founder of Gokula Educational Foundation founder of M.S.Ramaiah Educational Instituions).

The department store – Centra – comprises a wide range of apparel, footware, home furnishings, gifts and handicrafts, office stationery, cosmetics, watches, eyeware, toys, luggage and gym equipment. The supermarket – Dailys – brings to Bangalore the lowest prices across the food and grocery product range, including processed foods, fruits, vegetables, household essentials and bakery. While the entertainment centre has video games, bumper cars and a kids play area, the foodcourt would serve delicious fast food, South Indian delicacies, North Indian gourmet, beverages and ice creams.

Valdel was established in partnership with Suiwah Corporation, Malaysia, whose main business comprised supermarkets and department stores in Penang, Malaysia.
