Ramaiah group consolidates business interests

BANGALORE: M S Ramaiah group today announced consolidation of its business interests -- John Brown Technologies, AmSoft Information Services and Sun Mart-- under a single holding company, the Valdel Group.
The Valdel Group Chairman, Mr M R Jayaram, and the Managing Director, Mr M J Shantaraam, also announced the launch of new ventures in the retail and BPO sectors.
Valdel's BPO venture would be a contact and transaction processing centre, Mr Shantaraam said.
He said the formation of Valdel Group would enable them to synergistically cross-leverage each company's strengths and exponentially increase the value delivered to the stakeholders of the group.
Having the businesses consolidated into a single entity would allow for more effective direction and management of each one of them, Mr Shantaraam said. -
